Fear can challenge us, stop us, or shape us into striving for more than we have ever thought possible.
When confronted with it, we each have the choice: we can allow it to stop us from becoming everything that we have ever thought possible, or to we can allow it to push us into becoming our best possible selves.
It’s a choice that we all have to make. But when we decide to truly not allow fear to get in the way, the possibilities for our lives are endless. This poem below by Rabindranath Tagore embodies this notion.
Where The Mind Is Without Fear
Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high
Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments
By narrow domestic walls
Where words come out from the depth of truth
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit
Where the mind is led forward by thee
Into ever-widening thought and action
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.
