An Optimistic How-To For Changing The World

“Your life will become better by making others’ lives better. If you’re not making someone else’s life better, then you are wasting your time…” ~ Will Smith

I love Will Smith’s statement.

I believe it and I deeply understand it. I believe that we are not here to waste time. Instead, we are here to put something positive and valuable into the world. I don’t know about you, but it makes me irritated when I waste time. I do it sometimes, but I hate doing it. I often find myself trying to stop myself from doing it.

I know that I am only here for about 100 years– or more God willing– so I want to make sure that I am at least almost enjoying every second of my life. Consequently, in this process of enjoying my life, I want to help someone else enjoy his or her life as well. That’s the ripple effect that I want to have as I believe that God wants us to inspire those who cross our life journeys.

This idea of the ‘ripple effect’ came to my mind after I coincidentally found a picture that greatly demonstrated the ripple effect, which is a term used to describe a situation where an effect from an initial state can be followed outwards incrementally.

After reading this definition, I started contemplated what my spirit, my being is putting out into the world. I also thought about how I am inspiring others and leading others to inspire the world. That’s when I decided to create, RIZZARR.

The ripple effect is a very important concept, because so many of us– sometimes even myself– are just generating so much negativity into the world by wasting so much time not pursuing our true passions and dreams. It’s almost like someone is putting a bullet to our heads and pressuring us to just keep living a life that we strongly don’t want to live. Then, as a result, we hold onto so much pain, anger, resentment, boredom, and more just to be complacent… Just to feel like we are living the life that we should live.

Why keep doing this? One of my favorite childhood movies, Pocahontas, illustrates this point, perfectly:

Ripples on Disney Video

Today, I want you to ponder on the ripple effect that you are creating throughout your life. If you are living negatively, know that you are not only spiritually hurting yourself, but you could also be physically hurting yourself and the lives of those around you based on what you are generating. So just stop!

Now that you watched the video, realize that you must look within yourself and find out what you need to change in order to live a better life; to be a more positive person; and to positively influence the lives of those around you. Everything you do or create puts something in the world. Everything you feel puts something in the world. Therefore, change who you are, your thoughts, your feelings, and your beliefs. If you don’t, then you will allow others to negatively changed you.

Remember, we all contribute something to this world, so don’t waste your time contributing more negativity. God knows that we already have so much of that. I greatly believe that it is much better to help and inspire others to generate the changes that they wish to see in society.

I’m down to create this ripple effect.

But the question is: Are you?
