I know that moment too well.
It’s that moment when you find yourself beneath yourself.
You’re not sure if you will ever make it through or ever find relief from what you’re facing. The world seems to be on your shoulders. Life seems too overwhelming, full of anxiety, and too much to bear to feel any kind of happiness or breakthrough. I’ve been there. I know that feeling too well, more than I want to know of when you feel like you don’t know what to do or how to get through what is that you’re going through. It takes a lot out of you. And sometimes the more you try to get out of your situation, the more dragged down you feel. I know.
But what I also know is that the key to getting out of your dark place is to remember that what you are dealing with is only temporary. Life changes in the blink of an eye. Your circumstances can change in the blink of an eye. Whatever it is that you are going through does not have to get the best of you. You still have many better days left ahead of you. This too is going to pass.
You have to stop yourself from sinking deeper into your negative, discouraging thoughts. You have to make up your mind and decide that you can get through what is that you are going through. Realize the situation facing you right now is only a temporary bump in the road.
Granted, I don’t know the details of what you’re facing or the whole story. But I do know that you are a lot stronger than you might think. Don’t feel defeated or discouraged. Move forward. Rise above how you feel and focus on what you know, like how you have the power to stop letting whatever is bothering you from getting the best of you. Push through how you feel and focus on knowing that 20 years from now, this will be resolved. You will be stronger. You will be better, and you will know that you can overcome anything. You simply have to decide that you can and focus on what you can control, like your thoughts, your feelings, and how you will fight through what you feel in a better way.
Nothing lasts forever. Be encouraged in knowing that.
