Recently, LeanIn.Org and McKinsey & Company released their annual “Women in the Workplace 2019” study. Aside from insights into pipeline diversity and employee satisfaction, the report reveals that one of the biggest barriers women face in the workplace.

Let’s be clear, diversity should not be about hitting quotas and giving back.
What we need now is to understand each other. A single youth realizing where he belongs, here, on this side of civilized society—could make for a world of change in the future.
Although the media has made some progress from the past decades, there is much to learn and evolve for the Asian-American community in film and television.
Now, it’s time to widen our goals for representation. There are large gaps to be filled in the creative industry. And while African Americans have been trailblazers in creating companies and initiatives to take control of the narrative, we also need to ensure that the creative industry as a whole is inclusive and welcoming.
When it comes to fostering diversity and inclusion in your company, either go hard or go home. Seriously.
