These days it doesn’t ever quite seem like we truly get a break from politics, and with the State of the Union Address last night, we could have anticipated Twitter was going to have a field day. Of course, there were some thoughtful and intellectual responses to what Trump said…
How do you not stand for more money in the pockets of Americans? The Dimms choose to sit for and stand in the way of the American Dream. Sad. #TaxReform #SOTU #StateOfTheUnion #MAGA #AmericaFirst

but for the most part there were some pretty entertaining responses:
I wish I loved anything as much as Donald Trump loves people clapping for him and then clapping along with them. #StateOfTheUniom

the only reason i'm watching the SOTU is for Nancy Pelosi's face

Trump has promised to bring down the cost of drugs. I bought meth this morning and I was shocked at the price. #bravo #StateOfTheUNIOM

With the way SNL has practically formatted its entire show around the president and his administration, you think they would be extra meticulous in assuring everything went according to plan. However, right off the bat, Twitter noticed a very large and glaring spelling error on the invitations which read, “State of the Uniom” instead of “Union.”
Dear @realDonaldTrump, please don't dictate with loose dentures anymore. It causes mistakes like this. #StateoftheUniom pic.twitter.com/iAtQU1R5PC

Of course on the opposite end there were people who were very upset about Twitter’s treatment of the event:
Democrats look more like Russians then Americans tonight #StateOfTheUniom

Either way, we can always count on Twitter to spice things up.
