“Those who build the future are those who know that greater things are yet to come, and that they themselves will help bring them about. Their minds are illuminated by the blazing sun of hope. They never stop to doubt. They haven’t time.” ~Melvin J. Evans

It’s not a lie that right now life can seem pretty rough. The economy is bad, millions of people can’t find jobs, and companies just seem to keep closing down. Then, on top of that, the rich seem to keep getting richer, and the poorer just keep getting poorer.

So it just seems like the idea of fulfilling dreams is just not possible. To many of us, there seems to be no point to in even trying to fulfill our dreams since it is so hard to fulfill them. There’s rejection; there’s discouragement; and there’s this ever array of all of the reason as to why our dreams could never be fulfilled. Indeed, right in this moment of your life, you may be encountering so many stops, pitfalls, and discouragers.

You may be wondering to yourself: Will I ever really fulfill the dreams that I have envisioned within my heart? The answer to your question: Yes, you will fulfill your dreams. Yes, they indeed will come to pass if you continue to keep your hope and your faith. You to keep believing, because without pursuing our dreams, it’s like we are almost not living… We are dead inside, just robots to a life that we never envisioned for ourselves.

Realize that despite all of the negativity that is around you, you can never give up. Dreamers are the ones who actually change the world. They are the starting point, the inspiration for those who never had the courage and the strength to go whole-heartedly after their dreams and fulfill them.

For me, whenever I have stopped for a moment in going after fulfilling my dreams, it greatly saddened. It broke me apart. I felt this incredible feeling of being dead inside. I felt like the calling placed within me was never going to be fulfilled. I felt so low, and discouraged. However, I never let the fight within me settle. I kept my faith…even if it was as tiny as a mustard seed.

Now, you also have to keep your faith; your hope; your drive; and your dreams within you alive. You’ve got to put the past behind you before you can move on. You have to let go of the negative to embrace the positive possibilities around you.

Sometimes we have to encounter a setback, loss of faith, and rejection in order to give us that heightened leap to keep going towards fulfilling our purpose. Then, as we get up from discouragement, failure, and setbacks, we are even more determined to fulfill the calling placed on our lives. Yes, the scars that you and I have gained along this journey in life are difficult and a harsh reality of the negativity within the world. But we can rise above them; I believe it. I’ve read so many stories on those architects of change who have risen above harsh realities and setbacks of the world to fulfill their dreams.

Know you can, and should continue to pursue your dreams. You should continue deeply believing that you will fulfill your dreams. Most importantly, know that you should never give up in trying to fulfill your dreams.

I mean look at Thomas Edison’s life. He tried and failed more than 9,000 times to make the light bulb, and he NEVER quit until he made it. In regards to his failures, he said this to a young reporter: “Young man, why would I feel like a failure? And why would I ever give up? I now know definitely over 9,000 ways that an electric light bulb will not work. Success is almost in my grasp!”

And soon after that interview, Edison created the light bulb.

Now, it’s time for you to get up; to get going and create your own light bulb… your own dreams. And as you go after fulfilling your dreams– even on the 9,000th time– believe that you will fulfill them. Never, ever quit, and never let anyone or anything stop you from fulfilling the calling that God has placed on your life.
