Everyone has ideas or opinions about what you should be doing with your life. Everyone.
But all of the noise can be… annoying. It can hard to push through too, because you might feel swayed to do something you don’t want to do. I’ve realized I need to filter out what everyone tells me and make it my life my own. No one knows me or what I want to do with my life more than me.
It was hard getting to this place, so I decided to an experiment. Recently, I took a week to force myself to only do what I loved (outside of working hours). This is what I realized from it:
1) Everything starts from a choice.
2) Our time is the most valuable commodity we have.
3) Clarity on what you want out of life is powerful.
4) Our thoughts indirectly and directly shape our lives.
5) Trust and believe in what it is you love to do.
6) By focusing more on what you want, you get it.
7) Give up any idea of uncertainty or failure.
8) Until you get serious about who it is you want to be, your life won’t change.
9) We can create the lives we dream, but we have to take action to get them.
10) Commitment can change anything.
11) Your happiness depends on you.
12) Positive belief in ourselves is essential.
