Throughout my life and the numerous situations (good and bad) that I have encountered, someone has always managed to remind me that it’s all about perspective.
Great, I would think. That’s so much easier said than done. The idea of having perspective was interesting. I just didn’t understand how you go about “having perspective.”
But, then I realized that having perspective gives us the ability to see situations for what they are, instead of getting dogged down by them. It’s perspective that can give us an indescribable peace and assurance that regardless of what may be happening around us, life could always be worse.
One of my favorite quotes is from author Yvonne Woon. She once said, “Sometimes, you have to look back in order to understand the things that lie ahead.” I have realized that when you have perspective you are not only able to see how things have evolved and connect the dots to your past, but you are also able to overcome and better understand things that might happen in your future. To me, that’s one of the reasons why having perspective is important.
And just to keep this interesting, I also want to give you 13 other reasons why having perspective is important:
1. Perspective gives you hope.
2. Perspective helps you to realize that no matter how great life is or how bad life may seem, you can find ways to still appreciate everything that life has to offer.
3. Perspective can lift you higher.
4. Perspective changes the way you treat people.
5. Perspective allows you to want to live for something greater than yourself.
6. Perspective makes you realize time always changes things.
7. Perspective makes you understand that nothing lasts forever.
8. Perspective makes you become aware of who you are.
9. Perspective can empower and give you strength you.
10. Perspective helps you see the good in everything.
11. Perspective motivates you to believe in yourself and your past triumphs.
12. Perspective is one of the keys to enjoying life, day by day.
