Being one of the best tourist spots in the country, Tagaytay is a food haven that has made its mark for satisfying the craving of foodies and travelers everywhere. Whether it be a meal or a dessert, something local or from another destination, wherever you go, they have something that can fill your tastebuds’ desire.

If you are in town and have yet to go and try Tagaytay’s brand of deliciousness, here are some of the must-eats establishments that you can check out:

El Cocinero

This restaurant inside the La Bella Residences is owned by Batangas-born Chef Arnaldo Limeta who trained and worked in Spain for over 14 years. He decided to bring his experience back to the motherland which translated to having a restaurant that currently has a 4.7 rating on Facebook. 

El Cocinero offers authentic Spanish and Italian cuisine, and that authentic European ambiance with Picasso-inspired artworks and a Grecian facade in the premises. Get your fix with their paella selection, which is recognized as one of the best in the country.

Siglo Modern Filipino

From its name, Siglo Modern Filipino serves a hundred-years worth of Pinoy culture on your table. This restaurant that you can find at Calamba Road, Sungay West, uses native ingredients such as, batuan, barako, adlai, and labuyo in their dishes which will bring you immense pride while simultaneously defeating your hunger. Travel around the country with their Luzviminda Bilao that features their best-sellers from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Aozore Japanese Restaurant

From here let’s fly to Japan and explore their cuisine in Aozore. Aozore translates to “Blue Sky” in English, conveying the impression that eating there is like relaxing while staring in the heavens. They have their own brand of ramen, which fuses the Tagaytay-famous bulalo and authentic Japanese noodles and of course the timeless classic, sushi.

You can also try their Dragon Maki, Wagyu Yakiniku Beef, and Tuna Avocado Salad for more variety. They have 2 branches located in the city, one in front of Discovery Country Suites and one at The Country Club in Tagaytay Highlands.

Out for an afternoon bite? Snack at The Red Bus Diner located on the ground floor of Verazza Hotel. Hop on for a ride and pick a burger for your delight. For those with heavy appetites, try their Red Hogg Bacon Burger and for something different, buy a Wasabi Burger.

Chateau Hestia

Named after the Greek goddess of Hearth, Chateau Hestia in Silang Cavite gives you a dessert experience unlike any other. Another European-themed place with a garden restaurant and a bed & breakfast service that will make you feel like you are in Europe yourself. They bake their own bread and they use authentic European ingredients as well.

Savor their colorful treats! Notable ones are the Panna Cotta, Basque-style burnt cheesecake and their Kaiser Schmarrn.

Tsokolateria

For you chocolate lovers out there, Tsokolateria is t your service. Aside from the eye-candy view it has over the Taal Lake, they can also warm your stomach and soul with their champorado, perfect for the Tagaytay breeze. They can be found at Silang Crossing East and they also offer a variety of chocolate-infused dishes like Pinoy Tsokolate Fondue.
