7 Interesting Reasons Why Spending Time Alone Makes You Happier & More Successful

Sometimes I need to take what I call, “me days.”

These are personal days in which I reflect and take a break from the normal hustle of the 9–5. You know, I figure if I have the option to do so, then I might as well use these days to refresh. I love these days, because I always feel like they give me a moment to myself in which I can gain a different perspective on life. I always feel like I can think better and gain more sense of who I am.

It is also from these days that I have realized the power in spending time alone. I know most people love to be around other people. However, I have found that when I take days to be by myself, I become a better person. Time alone shapes me. It makes me happier, makes me calmer, and makes me have a better appreciation for life.

I think everybody should spend more time alone. And for that reason, I’ve put together nine ways that I believe spending time alone will not only make you happier, but also will help you to unlock your potential.
