One The Most Meaningful Notions You Realize When You Try To Make A Difference

Deep down, I always believe that we each have a place within us that makes us want to make the world a better place… that makes us want to take action in making the world a better place. I know that I could be naive in believing this, but I do believe it. And as I’ve gotten older, I believe it even more than before.

When I was younger, it was hard to see the continuous impact of my actions on other people. If I did something wrong to someone, I could usually see the immediate reactions, but it really didn’t hit me of how my selfish action could really impact the person’s feelings in the long-term. And that same truth applied whenever I would give someone a gift or did something kind to someone. I never could fully understand how my actions could impact them.

But as I’ve grown up, that’s completely changed. Taking part in volunteer activities over the years and now starting RIZZARR has increased my awareness of how we all can play a role in each other’s lives –whether through an action, writing an article, or taking time to check in on someone. I especially this after seeing the classic, It’s A Wonderful Life. It really depicts how the impact of one person’s life can have a great impact on the lives of many others. And that brings me to one of the most important notions that I think we all should know in life…

We all are connected and we all impact each other’s lives, whether we directly want to do so or not. That’s just how life is.

This connection can be a beautiful, positive thing when it’s used in the right way. When we try to use our lives to make a difference, this idea of connectivity can play a vital role in changing someone’s life in the short-term and long-term. Whether it changes a person’s perspective that they have about themselves or whether it helps them to be successful, every action we make has an impact. This especially true globally, like whatever we do in one part of the world may somehow impact another person on the other. The impact could be immediate or it could be in years to come with future leaders. We may not always see the long-term effects of this impact, but I guarantee you that every action or word can make an impact. Every word or action we speak shapes someone else in some form.

We were not meant to be an island. We were meant to use our lives to create meaning, purpose, and connectivity. That’s why it’s so important for each of us to use our lives for something greater while we are here, and that’s why I believe it’s so important for us to realize that our lives are all connected.
