If you want to be happy, the first thing you need to realize is that you create your own joy.
Take this quote from Shakespeare: “How bitter a thing it is to look into happiness from another man’s eyes!” I’d like to think the Bard was trying to tell his audience that it’s better to create one’s own happiness rather than live vicariously through someone else’s.
