Do You Still Trust The Process?

The Philadelphia 76ers have not won a game yet since the start of the 2016-2017 NBA Season.

The Sixers were blown out by a score of 109-84, on their home court on Monday, November 7th 2016, by the Utah Jazz. With the loss to the Jazz the Sixers record now sits at 0-6.

This should be a site that Sixers fans are used to seeing, within the last couple of years. The Sixers have been notorious for getting off to bad starts, to open up a new season. However, there was so much anticipation going into this new season.

Joel Embiid was healthy, Jahlil Okafor was coming off of a solid rookie season, and the Sixers had picked Ben Simmons with the number one pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. However, Simmons is injured and probably will not make his rookie debut until January or February. Simmons injured his foot and had to have surgery over the summer. Embiid is having a stellar rookie season, but he has not played more than 25 minutes per game this season. Okafor is coming off of surgery to his knee. He is also the Sixth Man right now in the Sixers rotation.

All of the promise and hype that was sold to the City of Philadelphia and Sixers fans is not amounting to a better product. Now we are left to wonder if the Sixers will ever win a game, or will they end up in the lottery again hoping for back to back number one picks. Realistically the Sixers are rebuilding and their three main pieces will need time to gel.

Simmons, Okafor, and Embiid could be a great trio that will help rebuild and save the 76ers franchise. Sixers’ fans will have to wait and see.

Embiid is proving to be a great asset for the Sixers, and hopefully when Simmons gets back, he, Embiid, and Okafor can carry the Sixers to win more games this season. Things could look up for the 76ers.

So here’s the question of the season for Sixers fans: Do you really trust the process, even if this season ends with the Sixers having a chance at another top pick in the 2017 NBA Draft?
