First off, even with that title at top, I want to say that I wouldn’t say I’m quote on quote wise. Lord knows that I still have a lot to learn. I thought the title was catchy. Anyways.

I honestly sometimes I even think to myself about things, like: Why did I do that? Or why did I say? Yes, I still have a lot to learn. So, no. I am not totally wise. But I do have some “words of wisdom” that I would like to share.

Since graduating, I have come to realize a lot of things about life and the world. Though I am still learning, many experiences in the time since I graduated from college five years ago have changed my life and who I am as a person. The thing that I’ve come to realize is that each of our lives are a masterpiece. Each of our lives is our own masterpiece. We can edit it, change it, flip it, or do whatever we make to it as much as we want. The world is our oyster and our lives can be anything that we make of it, if we choose.

It’s hard to believe this to be true, because it seems like the older you get, the more obligations, responsibilities, and hardships get in the way. But don’t let those phase you. This is your life. This is now the time for you to pursue and try to do all of things that your heart desires. You are the only person who you can limit you.

Yes, the world is not easy as you may have thought. Yes, people will show you their true colors. And yes, there will be “cross-road” moments that will define your life. But trust yourself. You know who is that you ultimately want to be and what it is that you ultimately want to do. Don’t allow any experience or anyone else’s noise to dictate this for you, or to make you doubt yourself.

In today’s world, there is no set path to getting anywhere. This is good and bad. But good because you can learn to trust your intuition more and really go after who it is that you want to be.

If you’re reading this and you just graduated, just know how lucky you are, because you have lots of time to really live the life you want, to learn as much as possible, and to become who you want to be.

There is no time, like now, where you can literally be, do, and become all that you want by putting your mind towards it. So congratulations on graduating and kick it in gear!
