The Snap Shot

--Growing up, I didn't learn to speak English until I was six. Although I was always outgoing, I found it difficult to connect with people.
--Reading fashion magazines and experimenting on my own helped me relate to people, and shaped me into the person I am.
--While I found fashion and beauty invaluable in developing my identity, I was also torn between western and asian beauty ideals.
--The faces I saw didn't reflect the person I was or the journey I traveled.
--That was when I decided to dedicate my life to increasing diversity within the fashion industry.

The Mission
--Although diversity has grown in recent years, there is still a long way to go:
--Statistics tell us that only about 27% of models in fashion weeks are minorities, yet around 50% (and growing) of Americans under the age of 18 are minorities.
--I've spent 6+ years in the marketing industry studying trends, and 2+ years in editorials working to communicate these ideas
--Ultimately, I want to increase diversity in the fashion industry, and make it less intimidating for minorities

About My Podcast, Almost Inexplicable

How many times have you thought about asking someone from your industry for coffee? How many times do you run into scheduling conflicts?

The show seeks to act as a liaison between highly diverse professionals and those seeking to gain a more wholesome understanding of the world around them. Each week, I invite guests to answer a new and relevant question relating to growth, success, and the pursuit of knowledge.

Past guests include: a doctor from the NBC 2016 Summer Olympics, a highly acclaimed local photographer, and a competitive cyclist, racing to raise money for the Davis Phinney Foundation (just to name a few).
