When you’re trying to become more than you are, the level of noise within your head, the level of rejection, and the level of the heights that you have to climb to get to where it is that you aspire to be can make it feel almost insurmountable, impossible, and crazy.

You find that living can be hard and that trying to live a life greater than you are…is even harder.

You’re constantly are dealing with thoughts in your head trying to discourage you. You’re constantly dealing with people who try to discourage you. You’re constantly trying to believe in yourself. You have moments when you feel like you have no idea what the heck you’re doing with your life.

Deep down, you know who it is that you want to be, but you don’t know the exact path to getting there. Figuring out how to get there feels overwhelming. Getting there feels impossible. Getting there feels like it’s more than you can take. But then you think to yourself that you don’t want to live a life less than the one you are capable of living. You think to yourself about how you know you can become more than you are. You try to encourage yourself to believe that you can be whatever it is that you want to be. You just want to believe that you can do whatever it is you want to do. You really want to believe that the sky is the limit for you.

Back and forth in your head, your emotions are going from negative to positive. Try or give. You can, you can’t. You will, you won’t. It’s all of those things. All of the emotions that you know can either let discourage you or you can use to become what you believe who you can ultimately be.

Part of the difficult part of trying to become more than you are is the game that you have about it within yourself. It’s these notions that sometimes seem to take over you, causing you to doubt what you are capable of becoming. Though you’ve heard other people talk about it and you’ve seen them get through it, you’re trying to find a way to believe that for yourself it’s possible too. It’s hard to believe that you are no different than they are.

Inside, you know what’s possible.

And when it comes down to it, you know that the most difficult part of becoming more than you are comes down to your making the decision within yourself that you really can become more than you are. That it is possible for you, despite the contrary thoughts that you feel deep inside. Despite your circumstances, despite your background, despite your insecurities, despite your past, despite your wrong decisions, despite your background, despite…anything.
