Every second of your life is a choice.
You choose when to go to bed, when to wake up, when to give in to tiredness, when to scream, when to love, and when to act on any emotion.
You choose to be who you are, to let life pass you by, to give in to procrastination, to work or not to work, and you choose to give up when you give up.
But you also choose to laugh, to cry, to celebrate and even to breathe and to be alive.
Most of these choices are made unconsciously by you, for you, and so you don’t have to worry about them, but they are still your choice.
This means that every single action you take, and every single thing that happens to you, is due to your choice.
You are responsible for everything without question.
And that means you, and only you, have absolute, undeniable control over your entire life.
But if you never take this control into your own two hands then nothing will ever happen with it.
When you wake up tomorrow, you can choose to get out of bed and work, or choose to sleep in and wait for the day to pass you by.
When you feel sadness inside your heart, you can choose to let it all loose, to cry and let your heart decide, or you can choose to shut it up, to bury it deep within and to ignore it completely.
And when you are sitting in front of your work at the most inopportune time you are the one that chooses whether to work on it or not.
Your life is your choice.
If you want your life to be different from what it has been then you need to make some better, conscious choices.
I am writing this message to you at 00:30 in the morning, after having gotten up at 5:45 a.m. and having worked 15+ hours today.
I am tired to the point where I could fall asleep on my desk, with eye-lids as heavy as boulders, but I am still here writing this post in the hopes it reaches you.
I am writing this solely for one reason: Because I choose to.
You don’t need to do anything grand, you don’t have to change the world today, and you do not have to be the person others can be proud of.
All you have to do is think with your own head and choose to live your life by your means.
