With the holiday season in full gear, there is still time to participate in World Vision’s Gift Catalog.
The unique trait about the Gift Catalog that is offered by World Vision is that it runs year-round unlike other organizations that only run their catalogs during the holiday season. Last year, World Vision was able to help over 174,000 children as well as families in over 50 countries with the Gift Catalog. With the generosity of communities across Canada, World Vision was able to put a smile on these children’s faces on the morning of Christmas Day.

This year, I want to help World Vision as a youth ambassador to be able to surpass last year’s statistic of gift giving. With enough support and awareness, I think that every person who donates at least $5 will be ale to help children across the world. You could simply gather $5 from friends and family. This money could make a huge difference in helping a child to have a positive outlook on his or her life. With the money raised, you could also help provide chickens, goats, pigs as well as a guarantee for a positive future.

So maybe this season, you could spend a little less on renting movies or buying the newest hit music. Just please take a moment to think about how you could spend that money in making a child across the world have a life worth living for. The expression on the faces of these children that do receive gift during the holiday season is priceless. Every penny is worth donating.
This is your time to shine and this is your opportunity to provide everlasting change around the world with thoughtful gifts such as clean water, medical supplies, and even soccer balls! Do something beautiful and understand that you have the chance to change the life of a child or a struggling family.
Let’s be generous in helping others in need. Not that we already don’t, but let’s create change in our communities together! By coming together for a set cause as pure as this, no one should turn back as this is an amazing opportunity for you to help someone. These children could use the money for resources that you can sponsor, like filling their tummies for Christmas or even allowing them to have a chance to experience what it’s like to play soccer.
At the end of the day, just know that by helping a family you are really doing something unique that most people wouldn’t think of when they hear what you got someone for Christmas. It could be a lot more special for you if you do it with a group of friends, which will also allow you all to annually participate in some way in the Gift Catalog.
