7 Makeup Tricks To Make You Look Amazing When You Feel Exhausted

There was a time when wearing makeup was really fun. It was all about testing and trying new ways of wearing it.   For some, it still is this fun “testing process”. But for others, during the Monday-to-Friday grind (and drudge), makeup serves one purpose and one purpose only: to make them look a little more put together, instead of like they haven’t slept in weeks.   In case you happen to be one of these people, here’s a roundup of seven tricks that will help you look more awake:

1. Mix your skin care with your foundation.

Mix one pump of hydrating serum with a pump of liquid foundation and blend from the middle of your face out to get dewy, even-skin with zero fuss.

2. Use your highlighter in unexpected spots.

You may already know a drop of highlighter can do well for your cheekbones. But the real magic happens when you add a tiny dot under your lower lash lines. The light-reflective bits draw attention to the center of your eyes (and away from the shadows below them), making the entire area look livelier.

3. Use concealer in unforeseen spots.

After attempting any under-eye shadows or spots, be sure to add some concealer around your nose and mouth to get rid of any soreness or mark there. It’s the smallest thing that can make the biggest change.

4. Add a swipe of lipstick.

And if the mascara is the key to make your look more wide-eyed and awake, lipstick is the fastest way to pull the whole thing together. On any given day, a soft pink will add just enough color to your face to improve things up (whereas a bold red or coral is good to have on hand for those particularly rough mornings when you need a little extra help).

5. Skip the smoky eyes.

Or save it for a night out. For the day, a simple curve of neutral shadow (like beige or taupe) and a riffle of the liner is much more eye-opening. Not to mention, it’s far less time to consume to do. Perhaps this is why it’s currently setting for the Online makeup shopping.

6. But never skip the mascara.

Curled lashes are the key to looking more wide-awake. Get the most out of your mascara by running the wand over the tops of your lashes before smearing it on the underside as you normally would. So you get even shadier and fuller-looking outlying.

7. Reconsider the placement of your blush.

Though we’ve been trained to apply blush on cheeks since the beginning of time, it turns out that putting it directly onto the hollows of them first (and then patting any remaining color onto the apples) gives you a more lifted appearance.
