At a glance, Texas A&M is an internationally accredited institution with over 60,000 students on its largest campus in College Station, Texas alone. This is a university with that takes pride in creating selfless servants, who become leaders in the workforce upon and beyond earning a diploma. Engrained in its core values and traditions, A&M provides the tools and connection for its students to become successful in the field of their choosing, and is constantly improving campus and its resources for its patrons. But enough bragging here, what other things makes Texas A&M special?

Throughout my time as a student at A&M, I have learned a thing or two about campus culture. If you’re interested in the things that make Aggieland its own little world, here are 20 signs you go to Texas A&M or seen the Aggie lifestyle in action.

1.”Howdy” has become a regular part of your vocabulary whether you like it or not

2. You shake your head when you see visitors walk under the Century Tree

3. If you don’t know what to do in your picture, you always throw up a good old-fashioned gig

4. Your eyes are drawn to maroon when you shop

5. You know that Sull Ross has your back no matter what

6. You bought Johnny Manziel’s Comeback SZN Merchandise

7. You know that “humping it” is one reason the 12th man is a powerful, deafening force

8. Completing 90 hours is more important than the diploma

9. Chilifest is the biggest social event of the year

10. You’re busy the entire day on saturdays during the fall semester

11. You “whoop” to everything that is remotely exciting or good
